Is Greenhouse Cottage Dog Friendly?

We LOVE dogs, the owner and property managers are all dog owners. That is why we allow dogs on a case by case basis. We don’t allow guests to automatically book through Airbnb/Vrbo with their dogs as we have had some issues in the past. We prefer to chat with you first to see if Greenhouse Cottage is a good fit for your dog. We prefer that you not leave your dogs unattended but we know that might not be possible. That is why we request that dogs be crate trained so they can be crated if you need to leave them at the house unattended. We also request that pets not be allowed on the furniture or beds if possible and that you pick up after your dog.

What is your pet fee?

Our pet fee is $150 per stay. Maximum of 1 dog.

We also charge an additional fee for any dog waste left in the yard that is not picked up. This is only charged if you do not pick up after your pet. This fee is $50 and goes straight to our cleaners for the additional task of picking up your dogs waste.

Is the Hot Tub available year round?

Yes! Our hot tub is available for every single stay through all seasons. If for any reason the hot tub breaks and is out of commission (hasn’t happened yet) we will let you know in advance of your stay and work to find a solution with you.

Are the Kayaks available year round?

No. Since our lake freezes over we only provide the kayaks from whenever the lake has thawed until about the end of October.

Is the Dock available year round?

Yes and No. We have a permanent dock platform that stays in year round that you can fish off of, but our long dock that can be used to tie your boat off to is only available from Mid-Late May to end of October.

Hows the Fishing?

The fishing in this area is fantastic! People often troll on this side of the lake, and our house is located on a quieter section of the all sports lake with a greater emphasis on trolling compared to the other side, which is more focused on water sports. The lake is teeming with a variety of fish, including large and small-mouth bass, pike, crappie, and perch.

Do you provide Firewood?

No. However we do provide kindling to help get you started and there are multiple shops in town that provide firewood. We also have a neighbor in the neighborhood who sells wood. Reach out to us if you would like help locating firewood!

Occasionally there will be firewood in the wood racks at the house leftover from other guests or if we have any trees cut down. You are always welcome to use this free of charge!
